Sit-Com Pitching Evaluation

The other day we all presented our pitch for our sit-com idea. Personally, i think mine went well and as i believed i was more confident than i thought i was going to be. I think that my pitch gave a good understanding to everyone about my sit-com idea and what i had to offer. However, if i was to do mine again i would change the way i speak. I believe that i may of spoken too fast and maybe messed up a bit with my speech. Also, after presenting the sit-com, other ideas came to my mind and i remembered other things that i was supposed to say. They were good and important things too. Overall i believe mine went well, although there was ways i could of improved mine to make mine stand out more. I think everything that i included was presented well, like the synopsis and premise was clear, USP was clear and i also like that i presented my favorite scene in the script because it teases the audience a little. I also believe that my characters and the detail i provided went really well and p...

Production of the sitcom

Image
Days before I wrote the script for my sitcom, I spent some time thinking of ideas and thinking of jokes to make it funny. I spent time thinking of characters that all have an impact in the sitcom and are all able to make the audience laugh in their own unique way. 10/01/2019 Today, I spent hours writing my script for the sitcom. The sitcom does not have a name yet as I am still thinking of a catchy name instead of a simple boring one. This script is only my first draft and after I get feedback from people I will take their feedback into consideration and improve my script in the second draft. Overall, I am currently happy with the script I have made as I believe there is a lot of jokes and funny moments that will make the audience laugh. For the first draft I have used a technique called "6 laugh lines" This basically means that on a page there is at least 6 lines on a page that will make the audience laugh. This helps a lot in producing the sitcom as jokes and laughing i...

Premise

The world today is very mysterious but full of opportunities What makes me laugh is anything funny that happens The Inbetweeners: 4 friends living the school life trying to impress girls but fail every time Friday night dinner: 2 brothers and Friday night dinner but something always goes wrong Inbetweeners writers are Damon Beesley and Iain Morris. Damon Beesley who wrote The Inbetweeners also wrote White Gold which has 2 of the actors from The Inbetweeners. I think I would be best in a team because I think I could come up with good ideas but not great at writing. I wouldn't want to work with someone who is too controlling.    I really like Jay and Will who are characters in The Inbetweeners. Will is a student who joins a school and gets shown around by 3 other boys, Will stands out as he is a geek and is from a private school Jay is also another student who is obsessed with women and sex, he tries to get girls but often fails, he also...
